I love Attenborough’s final appearance on the BBC. The 2 minute spot features clips of wildlife footage voiced over by Attenborough intoning the lyrics to Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World.

Reading a big old-school newspaper outside can be a real struggle. This old man at Christianshavns Torv, Copenhagen is really making an effort. I took these photos a few years ago and just recently found them hidden away in a folder long forgotten. Thought they were perfect for a little street obervation hipster-gif.

Yesterday I went to the mini festival ‘Stop op – festival for all’ – a counter reaction to the larger music event START, which takes place in Kødbyen, Copenhagen. The organizers of the START festival wanted the nearby Café for drug addicts to close down during the event since they diden’t want drug users around. This was when the workers and volunteers of the café took the initiative to organize a small counter festival, open for everyone and with free music and food. There was grillin’, chillin’, and dj’ing – and the absolute highlight: A visit from the all girl marching band from hell, playing heavy rock on kazoo, dressed in leatherwest, miniskirts and wicked whiskey-infused choreography. A sight for sore eyes. These images is zapped from their Pigegarden myspace account – it’s their performance at Roskilde Festival 07.

I think these porcelain pistols should be a mandatory part of all dinnerware collectibles. The boring and bourgeois need some bullet holes once in a while.
